A ONE-DAY GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE SENSITIZATION AND ADVOCACY WORKSHOP IN WUKARI, TARABA STATE

The Foundation for Peace, Hope and Conflict Management (FPHCM), on the 18th of March, 2021 organized a one-day gender-based violence sensitization and advocacy workshop in Wukari, Taraba state to educate the people of Wukari and its environs on the dangers of gender-based violence (in its various form) in the society and the world at large.

The Executive Director, FPHCM, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Bature welcomed participants to the workshop and admonished them on the dangers of sexual and gender-based violence in our world. 

The workshop involved facilitators from different spheres and beliefs, and in attendance were over a hundred participants including students of both secondary and tertiary institutions in Wukari, Secretary to Wukari Local Government, CEO of Great Gender Grassroot Foundation (G3 Foundation) and S.A to Taraba State Governor, Hon. (Mrs.) Leah O. Solomon; security agencies and other academic dons in Wukari town.
